Holy Crap, what is with this wind? It’s been blowing all night, gusts up to 90 mph. I didn’t sleep much last night, kept waiting for the roof to blow off. I need to do a shingle check today. Our house really gets the brunt of any wind. There’s nothing but a big empty field behind us, so the wind can really come screaming out of the west and bitch slap our house. Our bedroom is on the west side, so we really hear it. Thank goodness the boys’ rooms are on the other side, or I woulda been up all night with them too. Enough already! It’s been like this, every couple of days, for several weeks. I can’t throw them outside to play or they’ll blow away to Kansas. And still no snow.

Good grief, I just re-read that and realized I sound like my mother in law. Don’t get me wrong, I love her, but the woman is obsessed with the weather. I can’t blame her; when she was my age, she had three kids and had just lost her house to a tornado. Yup, Tom was in the basement with his mom and siblings when his house was blown away. He was 12 at the time. So I really can’t blame her for watching the Weather Channel obsessively. But it’s amusing when she comes to visit and within 30 minutes knows what channel the Weather Channel is. LOL

The Weather Channel here is channel 69. For some reason that amuses me…lol! But yeah, it’s been windy here the last few days as well. Which makes it cold. Which makes it well…COLD! hehehe 😉
