Ten things

  1. It is day 14 of NaBloPoMo.
  2. It’s dinner date night, I’ve had a strong margarita on an empty stomach, and could care less about what I write here tonight.
  3. This is indeed a filler post.
  4. NAGC convention was this weekend, I sadly didn’t get to go, but will still try to recap what all went on and how it will affect parents’ advocacy.
  5. The Broncos finally showed up for their season this afternoon.
  6. I’m roughly ten days from Thanksgiving, and other than the smoked turkey I ordered that will come to me fully cooked, I have not a clue what I’m going to cook. Think we could have smoked turkey and whatever I find in the freezer? I’m sure my parents wouldn’t mind.
  7. I’m continuing to clear out the house. Today I did the wee desk I have in the corner of the kitchen. Amazing how much I had squirreled away there; my recycle and rubbish bins overfloweth.
  8. I think I may be developing arthritis in my left shoulder. A certain supportive undergarment is getting more and more difficult to hook and unhook. While Tom is more than willing to take on that particular chore, that still doesn’t address the fact that I am losing range of motion in that particular joint. Crap. Add that to my bifocals…sigh…
  9. I’m thinking of unplugging for a week in December, simply so I can catch up on my reading. The stack of books in my queue is threatening to topple and injure someone.
  10. There really is nothing sexier than a man in the kitchen. Today Tom cleaned out and scrubbed the fridge, then cooked dinner and dessert. Mmm….

Ok, enough. Dinner is ready. The margarita has taken effect. Wine is being poured. And socially relevant, sarcastic, and satirical cartoons have begun. Until tomorrow!
