Just another snowy Sunday in Colorado. The mountains are happy with the scoopable moisture, me not so much. At least I’m inside, tea is steeping, homework battles are…battling. Again, just another typical snowy Sunday at the House of Chaos.
Many thanks to Corrie from Just Because My Pickle Talks for a bit ‘o bling on this cold afternoon (12F and falling):
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. If you don’t like lemonade, squirt life in the eye and run like hell. If life throws limes as it chases you, make margaritas and call me. I’ll bring the chips and salsa.
My Christmas shopping is done. Well, I’m done buying, I still need to wrap and mail the few things that are still en route. Cards are the next hurdle. I have them, I have stamps, I have been known to toss everything into the trash after New Year’s if they don’t get done. As that happened last year, it might be nice to actually, you know, send them this year.
I posted it on Facebook, but I’ll announce it here as well:
I hearby absolve my husband of any grief for life if he gives me a Dyson Animal vacuum for Christmas.
That is how desperately I want a vacuum that can actually get Rosie’s super-fine and un-suckable hair up out of the carpet. A vacuum, even a Dyson, is cheaper than getting new flooring.
Did you know that a hot cuppa on a cold day makes the day cheerier? No? Go make one.
Finally, I have no finally. Just wanted it to seem that I had a point here. No point here. Just Christmas music on Pandora, homemade granola in the oven, tea on hand, and the Phineas and Ferb Christmas Special on TV this evening.
It’s the little things.
That last paragraph is right on and a good reminder for all us stressbots.
Good luck with that Dyson. They’re so pretty too.
Wow! I’m glad I don’t live near you! I’m a tropical weather type of gal.
BTW, my new web address is http://www.mypickletalksautism.com. The site is much prettier and save you having to follow links all over the place to read my posts. 🙂
My Twitter name is @pickletalks.
I love that saying!
