No matter what I do, they stay one step ahead of me. After A attempted to acquire a Pancake Puffs Pan last spring, you’d think I’d stay ahead of them. You’d be wrong. Very, very wrong.
While I was in the shower this morning, J watched Wall*E.
Not a big deal. He came running up to tell me he was watching it. No prob, the boys got it for Christmas. Except…he bought it off Pay Per View. Yes, my four year old lil’ genius can read so well that he followed all the on-screen instructions for buying a movie and right now he is happily viewing his favorite Pixar flick. The best part? He didn’t actually purchase the movie; it’s on a 24 hour rental. Yes, we will be disabling the PPV this evening.
See now why I’m desperate for him to be in full day kindergarten next fall? Yeah.

Hey! It’s Official Delurking Day!
What’s that mean to you? It means you leave me a comment (insert big, cheesy grin here), and comments on all blogs you read. Share the love, people, share the love. What’s it mean to me? It means that I’ll have happy, loving comments from folks when I return from A’s allergy testing this evening. Yes, the first of two, possibly three, scratch tests. In Denver. In the snow. My joy knows no bounds. So delurk…just don’t flash me…unless you look like Jamie Bamber, then flash away. ð
Four days til Battlestar Galactica returns. Something to look forward to.
Nobody told me there were barely covered hot men in Battlestar Galactica – I feel betrayed.
Oh my… The things I have to look forward to…
I see me locking down PPV in the very near future, as well as blocking the ability for anyone to browse “everything,” that is on PPV. (We haven’t bothered, since it was never a worry in our all-adult household in the past…)
Per your request, I’m leaving you a comment, even though I’m not really a lurker here ð I probably leave more comments than you care to read sometimes!! haha
I have a nephew, who reads amazingly well for a 5 yr old. Like your posts and will keep coming for more :).
My little one has been fascinated with the remote forever. I’ve even caught him running through the list of PPV movies. He hasn’t ordered anything yet but he seems to be a big Will Ferrell fan! Too funny that yours found out the magic of PPV!
Bamber….drool…bomp chicka bomp bomp….what? Oh, right, Battlestar Galactica, best show on television and I totally watch it for its insight into modern politcs, its take on our current societal woes and its astute declaration of the decline of the human condition.
(Isn’t that what all the critics say? You KNOW they just watch it for the naked Bamber)
Thanks for your reply to my comment.
Aaah! that’s too funny, maybe he should get a paper route to pay for it!
Please tell me that my 18-month-old will not learn the secrets of PPV soon. I can barely afford cable, much less the whims of a toddler.
Delurking! I see you! I’m poking at you!
