I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas

And damn, I got one:

It’s good to be home safe.

We got our scheduled flight home on Saturday. In fact, miracle of miracles, we walked right up to the Frontier check-in with no waiting. Never happens, mark the date.

Denver International Airport was a nightmare. Just a sea of humanity as far as the eye could see. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Dug the van out of parking and headed home. And got stuck in a snowdrift in front of our house. Hi Murphy, miss us? Thought you would have stayed in Chicago, but I guess you came home with us after all. Sigh…

And it’s been a quiet and indulgent Christmas Day. The kids are still in their pajamas, and I got a Super Target ham dinner. All reheating, no cooking. I can do that! It only involved me hitting ST yesterday, on the craziest shopping day of the year. I would have sent Tom, but he was digging out the house, bless his heart.

So a happy and healthy one to you and yours from me and mine (ain’t we as cute as a Hallmark Special?). I think I’ll use this picture for our New Year’s cards. And then make the XMAS cookies. I might have it all done by St. Patrick’s Day. Happy day to you!
